Description:
We are currently seeking a graphic designer to join our production team. This person is responsible for the layout, design, and production of print, CD, and web-based materials, including magazine pages and marketing collateral.
The graphic designer works with the account manager in charge of each account. The graphic designer will be in charge of all graphic design needs for each assigned account. This position reports to Senior Project Manager.
Job Responsibilities Include:
Managing creative process and working with client, maintaining files and organization editorial and pre-press processes, submitting page proofs to Senior Project Manager and clients, overseeing all graphic revisions, executing pre-flight procedures, creating final documents and pdfs, and assisting production staff with design needs
Status:
Independent contractor for 90 days. Upon performance review, full-time employment.
Compensation Structure:
Set rate per project as independent contractor
$26,000-$35,000 full-time range depending upon experience and performance
Requirements/Skills Necessary:
- Bachelors in Graphics Design or equivalent work experience
- Strong portfolio of previous work
- 1 year experience in: four-color printing process, file prep process, and corporate design
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat
- Working knowledge of Macromedia Dreamweaver and web design process including templates, CSS, HTML, and web standards
- Access to a home office environment, broadband connection and private phone line (landline or mobile)
